      Auto Tech Interview

      23 July 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Chandler, AZ
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ADESA (Chandler, AZ) in Feb 2012

      Interview

I worked there as a master tech for 5 years. I worked at Adesa Phoenix located in Chandler AZ. The recon manager hired 2 techs, 1 of them was a personal friend for 5 years. His exact words were: "we don't do any heavy line work or work weekends" . The day he hired them, I was pulling an engine and for the next year those 2 guys were hammered with heavy line engine, trans, clutch, diff work and mandatory weekends. Upper management will be your buddy to get you to do extra work and then as soon as you go the extra mile, they expect it for the rest of your time there. This company will do anything to deny you a raise and then hire a new and inexperienced person at your pay scale or more. Terrible, deceitful company that thinks everyone is easily replaced. Steer clear. Their insurance sucks and every few years you'll have new upper management which will effect work volume. There is no family structure and no value to employees. Everyone is expendable.
