I wasn't looking for a new job, but AIM's recruiter found me via Linked In and seemed very interested in my skills. I did a phone screening with the recruiter, then 3 or 4 in person interviews to the local office (using my PTO) and another phone interview with a co-founder. I thought things were going well.
After my 5th or so interview the recruiter and the hiring manager fell off the face of the earth. I tried following up by phone and email, but when I got no reply I decided I wasn't going to chase a company that recruited me in the first place. I was disappointed that I spent so much time and energy going through their excessive process. In hindsight, I'm glad it didn't work out.
