I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at ALTEN in June 2024
Interview
Initial headhunted via Phone call - Primary phone interview done - was meant to progress to initial teams interview but no response from them. Was called up ~2 months later stating that their system must have malfunctioned, continued interview process. 2:1 teams interview explaining myself, and them explaining how alten works. Was told would only be getting a salary max of £36,000 for 8 years experience in the Mechanical Engineering industry, so decided not to continue as other roles suited for me were £45-60,000 with far more benefits, and they were interviewing me without having a project for me to work on anyway. Basically a huge waste of time. Would not recommend.

Question 1
Generic Interview - asked about past experiences - no specific hard questions
Pretty straight forward process, called by a recruiter, and interviewed for a couple of rounds. There were more but i didnt make it as i needed VISA (i think). They did not make it clear. Interviews felt more like listening than answering questions.

Question 1
Why would an engineering company ask for ALTEN's services if they already have speciality teams at their site?
Pretty short, nothing really focused on experience. Just HR Questions and a quick rejection later. 5 minutes is not an interview in my opinion. This was my experience anyway with the interview process.
First interview with human resources, then technical questions with manager then last interview with hiring manager. Test was 5 questions that could be done online. The people were receptive and very kind
