Prior to the phone interview, the hiring person sent through a detailed JD as well as links to their website so the candidate could familiarise themselves both with the company as well understand exactly what was required of the job scope.
Following this we spoke, but the feedback offered and which I agreed on was that due to me being senior to the requirements of the position and career progress in the company being at a pace where the job advertised could not be seen as an entry position into the company with a quick progression, it would be better not to follow up further and for the position to go to someone junior with more likelihood of long term commital.
While the interview did not lead to being hired, I was impressed with the honest feedback, the communication style and process of the hiring person.
