I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AMR (San Diego, CA)
Interview
I applied through indeed and received a call for an interview. I did not schedule the interview for a few weeks after because I was still in school. I arrived and had my skills test which was a bunch of different skills. It started with a Nature of Illness. I had to give nitroglycerin and aspirin (KNOW THE SD PROTOCOLS). Then the patient went into cardiac arrest, BVM, OPA/NPA. It was very all over the place. Suprisingly, I passed and waited for an interview. When I was waiting for an interview, one of the other male EMT's started talking to me and asked if I was interviewing for the receptionist (I am a woman and was very offended by this comment). I didn't let that affect me and proceeded to the interview which were general questions. I received a conditional acceptance at the end. Yay! I have to go in for a physical test and drug test, but I am excited to be starting soon.
