My interview experience here was genuinely disappointing. The interview questions felt very unnecessary, overly complicated, and at times completely disconnected from what the role actually appeared to involve. One question asked was, “Tell me about a time you had to consider another person’s perspective,” amongst several others that felt more like an attempt to trip candidates up than assess whether someone could actually do the job. The whole process felt like a human humiliation ritual
What was most concerning, however, was the impression given about the working environment. During the interview, it was practically admitted that staff deal with harsh treatment from customers and that one of the main reasons people manage is because of supportive colleagues. Hearing this from the interviewers themselves did not inspire confidence if the biggest positive about the role is simply surviving it because of co-workers, that says a lot.
Overall, the interview left me questioning the company culture, employee wellbeing, and whether the role is genuinely as rewarding as presented.
