The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at AZPerio (Scottsdale, AZ)
Interview
This was probably the worst experience I’ve had with an interview process. I was contacted by phone to do an interview for this role and the guy wanted to know if I could meet at a coffee shop, Sip. We made a plan for the next week to meet after I was done with work. However, the number that called me wasn’t attached to any of the numbers matching AzPerio and I couldn’t find the guys name anywhere on the company website or LinkedIn. I was extremely skeptical from the start and as nervous as I was, I decided to meet this stranger. I figured it was a public place and it should be ok.
I got there early and after waiting 15 minutes and looking around several times I figured it was a scam and I left. About 5 minutes after I left this guy calls me and says he is there. When I tell him that I left, he made it out to be my fault and asked why I didn’t text him to see where he was. Excuse me? Like it’s my job to ask where you are? I was very annoyed at this point. I said I would reschedule and meet with him later. Again, he suggested the same coffee shop in a different part of town. I saved his number and told him I really needed a calendar invite (to make sure he really worked for the company and wasn’t a creeper).
Finally, we met in person. The interview went very well and he stated that he wanted to move me to the next interview that same week. Radio silence. I sent him a text and nothing. I sent him an email and finally he called and said he thought I was too “advanced” for the role. Although I appreciate the complement what the heck??? So were you ever planning to get back to me? This guy is completely scattered and if it is any indication of the business as a whole (not sending official invites, not following up, blaming you for things that are their own fault) I say RUN AWAY.
