I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (London, England) in Apr 2012
Interview
I applied online through the Abercrombie website and was invited to attend a group information session, from this I didn't get any further. I was told I could re-apply after 3 months, which I did.
After attending a first interview (info session) again, I got through to the second stage.
The first round consists of a group session with about 3 or 4 other people, held at the flagship A&F store. It's very informal with the recruiter just asking about yourself, and why you are suitable for the company.
The second stage was an 1:1 interview with a district manager, mine was at the Westfield Stratford Hollister store. This time it was a bit more formal, even though it was just out the back of the store. Questions were based very much upon your experience, putting yourself in situations and explaining how you would handle each one. I was told I'd hear within 2 weeks whether I'd get through to the next stage or not.
After 1 week I got a call from the guy who interviewed me in the first round, informing me of getting through to the third and final interview.
This time it was informal, located in a local Starbucks near the flagship A&F. It was with a senior recruiter for the UK, and it was basically getting a second opinion of me. The questions were more laid back, with a few directed towards A&F and how you feel you would suit the company. I was then told a week later that I'd got the job!
Overall the process was laid-back, and relatively simple if you are passionate about the brand. I'd advise people who got turned away from the first round to try again after 3 months.
