I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Abercrombie & Fitch (Austin, TX) in Oct 2009
Interview
The Interview process is always a group interview they usually have on Friday afternoons. Be sure to try to wear the Brand. Its OK to wear jeans just as long as its there newest jeans that they are selling. If you're female make sure not to wear a lot of make up. Have a natural look about you. Do not wear eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner, and have a natural hair color/style. Its OK to wear shorts if you're a girl but be sure that you are covered with no cleavage With guys make sure to wear an undershirt. Guys should not have any facial hair or any revealing tattoos and make sure your hair is groomed and neat. It is a very shallow process and they will never admit it but it is how you look. I have heard management ask on more than one occasion if the person was "cute" or "good-looking". Just go to the website and try to mimic how the models are wearing the clothes.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They do not give hard questions. Its mostly how you answer them. Just make sure to be confident when you answer.
One on one individual interview that encourages you to dress the part for the image of Abercrombie. Group interviews allow you share your thoughts while bouncing off of each others’ input.

Interview
A manager sat a group of us down outside the store somewhere within the mall. They asked specific questions about the Abercrombie style and brand. They didn't ask much about the candidates individually. This was many years ago, so I'm sure it's different now.

Interview
Small group interview in the mall round table questions. Easy, don’t copy the other answers that’s it. Hear back pretty quick. Overall great vibe would highly recommend it to college students
