I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Academy Sports + Outdoors (El Paso, TX) in June 2015
Interview
Two interviews done with two different managers. 10 questions each. On boarding took awhile, I believe the manager wasn't in a rush to hire, so I had to keep calling about status of application.

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Academy Sports + Outdoors (Houston, TX) in Oct 2022
Interview
Great in-person interview process. Post-interview they move incredibly slowly. The offer came after multiple phone calls and text messages. Hiring managers seem to be slightly unprofessional. Overall it could be a regional or store issue.
