Interview
Here is my experience interviewing for a National Account Executive role July of 2025.
First Interview - 30 minutes with Human Resources via Zoom. Standard questions to see if I was a fit to move to round 2. Covered my background experience, where do you see yourself in five years. Basic questions and explained that comp would be covered in depth on the second interview. Didn't leave me any time to ask any questions. I was set up for a 45-minute interview with the Executive Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Sales the following week. That day came and I joined five minutes early. No one showed until seven minutes into the scheduled interview time. It was the HR Director telling me that the VP was running late and would be there in 5 minutes. She also mentioned the EVP would not be joining because he was out of office. 5 minutes later came and I received a call on my phone from the Executive Assistant letting me know that the VP was not going to make it. We rescheduled to the following week with the EVP and VP. The following week I got the opportunity to get in front of the EVP and VP via Zoom. They started the meeting on time and thanked me for being flexible since they missed the interview the week before. The interview started with the VP asking me to tell them about myself outside of the professional world. Covered that then the EVP wanted me to cover my professional background and said he will likely ask questions during that. A few of his questions were, why did I select my major in college? Do I prefer making large or small sales? What is my sales style? Give me your pitch from your last job. Uninspiring questions and I felt he couldn’t grasp some of my past experience and how I was able to accomplish such solid sales numbers. Clearly, they need to better understand the sales cycle with some outside the box thinking. He turned the floor back to the VP and he said I have to go in 5 minutes as we were over time at 50 minutes but did have a few questions. Do you see your next professional move as a career or short-term gig? What do you want to make in your first year? I said 130k for first year as an FYI. What are your expectations of the company? They left me with enough time to ask one question. Did not cover compensation at all or the role for that matter. Red flags all over the place with this company and how they handle the process. In hindsight, I should have cleared the comp question out of the gate with HR, as well as, defining the role. Those were left to the imagination and having them answered could have saved everyone's time. How these guys are in sales and their roles are beyond me. Personalities of a pimple. Lastly, I asked for feedback from both HR, the EVP and VP. Nothing from HR, the EVP did respond with the generic "At this time, we’ve decided to continue exploring additional candidates as we work to identify the best fit for this position. That said, we appreciate your professionalism and the strengths you bring to the table." Hope this helps.

Interview
Applied online, was called next day for brief phone interview by Executive Assistant for COO. She said i was qualified and sounded good, scheduled for one on one. I go to office they have me fill out two sided application even though they had a copy of my resume and i brought a hard copy. Met with executive secretary, she asked basic questions and talked about company. I could tell she wasn't interested but said she was going to set up interviews with COO for top candidates. Never heard back from her via email or phone. job is still posted. Unprofessional not to send a response back, in my opinion.

Interview
The day I went in I was so nervous of course. I had just moved to Florida and needed a job FAST. The woman who called me in is the mother of the company. She made me feel so comfortable and welcome. She asked me basic interview questions which I easily answered. I explained to her my situation with just moving here and needing a job. She called in her husband and explained to him the situation. He asked me a few questions and they hired me that day. They were both so kind and genuine and still are to this day.
