Interview
Phone screen with manager and then on-site interview with 3-4 people including CTO, Director and technical peers. Phone screen was mostly meet-and-greet, but there was some light technical assessment. Questions mostly related to assessing technical proficiency with needed languages (e.g. Java), but there wasn't a quiz and just a few whiteboard problems (puzzle-type). Interview was more friendly (vs. adversarial). Also want to ensure prospective employee can work in start-up environment and can work with little guidance.
