Initial conversations with HR were a positive experience. The interview with the owner was something I'd never come across before. He was less than pleasant, spoke the entire time, often about topics that had no relevance to our discussion & spoke quite negatively about many people within the organization. It was clear he struggled to make clear, balanced decisions. Because I hadn't had the chance to speak to my experience and how it applied to the role, I followed up with a 90-day plan outlining how I would approach it. No response. It wasn't until I followed up that I received an update from HR that the owner was still unsure of filling the role. Never heard anything since. Disappointing. The fit has to be mutual and if it isn't, just say so.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Adamson Systems Engineering (Toronto, ON) in Feb 2025
Interview
They are very welcoming. They ask tough question with right attitude. Not rough or rude at all. They ask if I need a beverage or water. They also reviewed my portfolio.
Initial phone call, and then had an onsite interview with CEO and department leaders. Did a site recontour and showed me the different areas and materials they worked with, the people in the floor, the offices were under renovation
