It's a small company with very limited benefits. Due to Covid, some employees are working remote but he anticipates that will end in about a month or two. He walked me through the manufacturing floor which was interesting and showed me some schematics. He presented me with 3 projects and asked me to type up a request for 2 quotes based on the information that was presented. When I asked him what the budget range for the position was he was very vague with his answer and didn't even give me a range. Went on about it varies based on many factors etc etc.. The interviewer was unpersonable and bland. The company only offers 2 weeks of comp time and they only pay for half of the employee's health benefits. While I could absolutely be a fantastic project manager for them and would be an asset to their company, I am not interested and it's not the right fit for me. It was a good ice breaker though for future interviews.
