Lengthy. First set of phone interviews were with their corporate HR department and then a phone interview with key employees. Was invited to attend on site interviews at Blue Ridge facility. First interview day started at 0700 and concluded with dinner that evening with the individual I would be reporting to. Day two was the same; back to back interviews along with multiple site visits. It was grueling! I was requested to submit three references prior to the site visit which I did. However, this required for me to notify my current manager about the possible offer. Retrospectively, I would have asked that I be allowed to forgo offering the requested references until after the site visits. I understand the healthcare system is faith based but not sure I could adjust to individuals requesting that you pray before the start of interviews/ meetings and the overall culture of the small healthcare facility. The facility seemed to lack diversity. In addition, the program I was interviewing for seemed small and in need of a lot of TLC. I was not impressed. In addition, even though I sent a follow up email thanking the hiring manager, I never heard back from her. For various reasons, my overall experience was that the hiring manager lacked communication skills.
