Surprised AT THE LACK OF INTELLIGENCE. EMPATHY and LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM at the company.
Having had extensive experience in payments partnerships and known senior leadership at Adyen through previous roles I am quite familiar with the company and the role. The first interview had to be rescheduled 3x and once due to their systems not working which was a surprise. The hiring manager was only sometimes responsive and the entire process to get to the initial interview took almost 2 months.
Upon the First interview with 2 senior members of the team I was surprised that they asked question that a candidate should ask such as an internal knowledge of Adyen's USP, product features only they would know about. It felt like they were trying to get free consulting -- not interview for a role.
As a follow up I sent a very well researched and detailed note which NO one responded to and a week later I received a generic no thank you letter.
Safe to say that not only do I NOT RECOMMEND WORKING AT ADYEN but I will stay away from using their products at my next role
