I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Aequilibrium (Vancouver, BC) in July 2017
Interview
The process was composed by 2 phone interviews, followed by a programming challenge composed of two exercises (they gave me the weekend to do it at home, and I should submit a repository link as the answer); and, finally, a face-to-face interview.
No specific technology (programming language, frameworks, etc.) was required for the programming challenge.
Interviewers are friendly and flexible.
I applied for the position on their website and received an email at the same day inviting me for a call. I scheduled via calendly for the next day. The call was with a recruiter and they basically asked only 5 or 6 questions that they could easily have gotten the answer from the CV I sent the day before. When it came to salary expectations I asked for the same thing I already make, they told it was too much and that the position had a budget of X canadian dollars, which was very low considering the job requirements. I had already given up at this time because the recruiter was kind of rude at some points, talking over me and acting like they didn't care. This behavior says a lot about the company.
