I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Aevi (London, England) in Apr 2022
Interview
PROS:
Timely, very casual conversation without grilling
CONS:
- After a screening call and 3 rounds of interviews (min. 1 hour each), I have been ghosted and not even received an email with a rejection. The talent partner who was coordinating the process has stopped responding to my emails (sent 2 follow-ups)
- During the interview one of the LT members told me that the culture at the company is toxic and that the relationship within the team is very hierarchical. Very encouraging insight to share with a prospective employee...
- The business appears to struggle with a transition from waterfall to agile
- Evident lack of diversity on the team
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you deal with the silo mentality?
How do you handle working with a team that represents a low level of accountability?
Thank you for your feedback and I’m really really sorry to hear that you felt that you had a bad experience.
We have taken up the point that you weren’t responded to internally; this should never have happened. I’ll be honest; I was very surprised to read that you were told the company is toxic/hierarchical – everything from our internal Happiness survey to our Glassdoor reviews tells a very different story – we are very proud of our great and welcoming culture.
On your final point – you would only have met a small number of our people during the interview process, so please let me reassure you that we have a great deal of diversity within AEVI and again this is something we’re proud of.
Our SVP of People would like to discuss your experience further – please do reach out to her. Many thanks

Interview
The interview process was organised and professional, the whole process lasted for about 4 weeks. The interviews were very professional and provided a comfortable environment through out the whole process
Interview arranged with hiring manager at short notice, which I accommodated. Interview itself was straightforward discussion of experience and expectations. Wasn't initially clear how senior the role was, and the salary mentioned was perhaps the low end of the scale. Following interview however I didn't hear back. I chased multiple times for a response, but was ignored. A simple "no thanks" would have been fine, but to not provide any feedback, and then to not respond to messages requesting feedback is rude, and unprofessional.
