This was the most chaotic experience I've had during an interview process. It began when the recruiter reached out to me. After an informative call, they asked about my expectations. The next day, the recruiter informed me they couldn't meet my expectations. However, a day later, a different recruiter contacted me, saying they could meet my expectations.
They scheduled another meeting, which was canceled a few days later. After a period of radio silence, they contacted me again, saying the selection process was canceled. A few weeks later, they reached out once more, saying my next interview was scheduled.
I eventually had an interview with a VP, which was a behavioral interview. I did not pass this interview and received no feedback, just a rejection email.

Question 1
What are your expectations regarding total compensation?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Affirm (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2025
Interview
The interview process at Affirm was pleasant, professional, and very well communicated and run the entire way through.
Everyone was smart, kind, and exceeded my expectations.
There were some delays (mostly on my end) while sending some introductory emails, but after I started talking with folks it was about 5 weeks until I had a written offer.

Question 1
Can you tell me at length about a past project that you lead or were a part of? How did it go? Anything you'd do different next time? Etc. etc.
Intentionally overlong - as its important role - like the recruiter said, so the process is hell of stages and a couple of 2 hours meetings with bunch of guys. I ended up on the call with the hiring manager, which wasn't meaningful at all - generic questions, some experience related.
