Laura a talent recruiter from Aflac Chicago reached out to me regarding a position available. I immediately responded to her stating I am not looking for commission based jobs. She follows up with an email stating that quote " Thanks for your response but that's not what this is" I thought great. Aflac is a great company. I scheduled a meeting at 10am for the Chicago downtown office. I show up and sit in a room with 4 other candidates. She spends 20 minutes discussing the company, which was great. Then she goes into the "compensation package" portion. She then mentions that the entire compensation package is "commission based" and that each "marketing role" she named is not actually marketing but sales roles. She lied to me in the initial email and kept replacing "sales" for "marketing" The role is sales and it is commission based. Do not let them lie.
