I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Ahold Delhaize (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2020
Interview
First I had a phone screen, followed by an in-person interview with multiple people in 3 different groups over 3 hours. That was also followed by a final phone call with the UX director.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1st phase: Walk through of a few case studies and recent work
2nd phase: Round of questions with other UX designers around the kind of work I preferred, why I wanted to work there, and a bit more detail on the day-to-day setup of teams there
3rd phase: interview with UX managers on what my design thinking was around UX, and also in light of my past work.
4th phase: phonecall with UX director
I guess this is a typical interview process: Get an email first, and then start with a phone screening, and then we had a video meeting with the hiring manager.
