I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Airgas (Whittier, CA) in Jan 2012
Interview
If you enjoy cold calling, then this job may be for you. You do not start off taking any inbound calls at all, and have to build your own customer base, which I was told that not even employees working there for 2 years had not managed yet. The duties for a new hire consist of meeting your daily goals including a minimum of 70 outbound calls and 215 minutes required phone time. They update you 3 - 4 times during day to advise you of your progress. You must meet all daily goals plus monthly goals to receive end of year bonus.
The face to face interview process was 2-1/2 hours long and I met with 4 different Airgas managers who seemed to be asking the exact same questions over and over again with perhaps a little rephrasing here or there.
I was requested back for a second interview, however was unable to make the date and time that they had specified, so I requested a reschedule, but received no reply.
If I had received an offer for employment, I would have turned it down.
