I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AkzoNobel (Slough, Berkshire, South East England, England) in Mar 2015
Interview
standard online application, following up with verbal and numerical tests, then telephone interview and finally AC. The assessment centre was very intense and it was my first time being at an AC. Great experiences, the Akzonobel employees were very friendly and helpful. The AC consisted both group discussion and individual presentation on a case study, and I was asked to prepare a presentation before hand. Although I felt like very under-pressure when doing the group discussion because there were eight senior employees observing candidate during discussion.

Question 1
Why Akzonobel?
What makes you different from others?
The process was lengthy and the scheduling was poor. The interviewer was disinterested due to recent role change/demotion. Other interviewers (potential peers) distracted and not prepared for the interview. One dropped off the call to take another call.
Took weeks with no updates in between each process. 2 weeks to hear back between each stage. Left waiting 40 mins before 2nd interview Online submission 1st stage via team 2nd stage face to face to do a presentation
