Several weeks after the application was submitted, I recieved an email asking for an interview.
It was straighforward, 1 interview with (I believe) 5 of us on a zoom call. There were a few technical questions asked, but they were appreciate when I honestly answered that I didn't know for one of the questions.

Question 1
What steps would you take when working with data to maintain data integrity?
Simple and laidback. Non threatening and welcoming. Felt like they genuinely wanted to learn about applicant. Several interviewers sat in the room and asked questions going through each of them. Took less than an hour.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Alaska DOT&PF (Anchorage, AK) in Dec 2018
Interview
After submitting my required cover letter, resume, and application, I was contacted by e-mail. The in-person interview took less than 1 hour. Board of three individuals. Atmosphere was light and encouraging. I was notifed of my status about a week after the interview via USPS mail which was nice not being left hanging.
