I went through the interview process for the Performance Improvement | Vice President position at AlixPartners, and while I appreciated the opportunity, the experience left me frustrated. The process was lengthy, involving multiple rounds of interviews and several calls that lasted for hours. Despite putting in significant effort to prepare—taking time off work and dedicating hours to interview prep—I was ultimately not selected. To make matters more confusing, I received a rejection call without a clear explanation as to why I wasn’t chosen. One major takeaway from this experience is that I wish AlixPartners would consider shortening their interview process. It's a lot of time and energy spent preparing, especially when there’s no clear feedback given after the rejection. A more streamlined process would not only respect candidates' time but also improve the overall experience.
