I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at AlphaSights (London, England)
Interview
Tests, and video interview
first round - Competency based
second round - case + competency
First round was fine, friendly head of HR - approachable and made alpha sights seem like a friendly enjoyable place
second round - horrific experience. interviewed by two individuals, a male and female. the female was rude and didn't seem interested in anything I had to say. By the time we got to the role play, I was angry and put off; had lost all interest in working at the firm. I would actively pay money not to have to work with individuals like her.
In sum, I will not be recommending the company - perhaps its an issue of pride? They are (in all honesty) a glorified call centre - it seemed like they had something to prove.
Message to recruiters: keeping in mind that students like myself have to pull strings to take time out to come to london to interview, please give us employees who actually have some respect. It is frustrating to have wasted so much time that day.
I applied online. I interviewed at AlphaSights (New York, NY) in June 2026
Interview
Process was fairly simple with an AI overview, behavioral, technical, and final interview. All of the general information for each round was given in advance and the process was very quick.
I would say it was a pretty standard behavioral interview. They asked questions in both Japanese and English since this was for a position in Japan. It was conducted over Zoom, if I remember correctly.
via zoom. first round was casual just some questions and explaining the company, the second one they had me prepare a case study and do research and then proceeded to tell me everything i did wrong. needless to say did not get an offer
