I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Alternative Family Services in July 2025
Interview
First round was a recruiter screening, second round was with hiring manager right away named Highdone. Recruiter was very friendly and accomodating, but hiring manager was unprofessional and showed arrogance. First 10-15 minutes went smoothly with good small talk, but he’s been hinting that the role is very competitive since I noticed he observed my experience to be entry-level with little experience. After the first 15 minutes that went smoothly, the video meeting just went laggy for one time and I’ve noticed on his too, he said I’ve started lagging and he wasn’t sure if i’m still there. I assured him respectfully that of course I’m still in the video call. With just one brief lag for like 5 seconds he right away said “thank you for showing interest”. Arrogant Hiring Manager knows that job market for IT is dire so he’s just like that with no explanation or anything.

I applied online. I interviewed at Alternative Family Services (Vallejo, CA)
Interview
Very slow and unorganized, and direct supervisor seemed aloof and uncaring during interview - like they just didnt care. Interviewer was late and the interview was short - so it was easy but also left me feeling completely uninformed of what the job really entails.
