I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Aluna in June 2024
Interview
I had four interviews with this company. Each interview was with different people in the company with the last interview being with the owner. I had to do a ten minute presentation with PowerPoint about anything I am passionate about just to prove I can explain things properly. I also had to do a presentation on their product where they asked me a million questions as to why I feel this way about their product or how I can approve their product. Honestly looking back on it, it feels like I was in a survey instead of a interview. They used me for free marketing analysis on their product basically and I fell for it.
At the last interview with the owner they told me they would be in touch soon. I did send a follow up letter/email a few days after thanking them for the interview but all they said was that they were still doing interviews and be in touch soon. Never heard back from them. So they ghost people.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What kind of patient do you think would be a good fit for an Aluna device? What do you think might disqualify a patient from getting a device and/or make them unsuccessful with the device long term once they have a device? What do you think the benefits are for a patient using Aluna?
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Aluna (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2021
Interview
Had an informal chat with the design lead and engineering lead. Then met with the CEO and was impressed with her sense of purpose. Finally met with CTO. I was concerned that I was being waived through the door but considering my level of experience, this is not unheard of.
