I interviewed with a recruiter, who submitted my resume to the hiring manager. A couple weeks later I had the first interview. The director asked me about projects I had implemented in the past. We discussed next steps. A week later he told the recruiter they were passing on me. His justification included statements on things we didn't even talk about, and conclusions that weren't even true ("did not have experience in working with executive leadership, did not have experience in owning/driving a program with a defined strategy"). They did admit that they had no MDM strategy, they weren't doing OCM, and were basically rushing to get AI projects done. The recruiter agreed that I dodged a bullet.
