I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at American Academy Of Pediatrics in May 2022
Interview
I was very excited to interview for AAP. I went through two rounds of interviews, which were generally well structured and followed standard behavioral and performance related interview questions. My first interview was very positive and I felt heard and supported, and that my interviewer understood what I was communicating about myself. My second interview was rushed, and my interviewer seemed prepared to reach their own conclusions. The questions were not structured to help me explain myself, but to get me off the phone. When AAP was interested, they were very communicative and the process moved quickly. Since I have not heard back in three weeks, even after following up, I can only assume that is no longer the case and I did not get the position.
Applied in early November, had my first interview in mid-December, and was ultimately rejected at the end of February before the final round after completing an interview with the hiring manager, a timed written assessment, and an in-person interview with six different individuals from the team. Very kind people, but a consistent lack of communication throughout a very long process.
