Heard from a designer friend that they were hiring so I passed my portfolio and resume to her. About a week later I got a call from HR that lasted about 10 minutes. They asked why I wanted to work at American Eagle then emailed me some photos/information and told me to put together some designs for a fall back to school sale. I completed the designs and sent them back within 48 hours. 2 weeks passed and HR called again and said the design team loved my designs and would like to do an in person interview with the two art directors. I drove 4+ for the interview and when I got there they were running late. After 30 minutes of waiting I met with HR who then placed me in a room to meet with the art directors. Only one director showed up and made it clear he did not want to be there by telling me he had to leave in 10 minutes. He asked a few questions that could've been answered by looking at my resume then left. The HR representative came back and got me and told me they would be in touch. 3 weeks later I got an email saying they weren't hiring anyone at that time but would keep my resume in case something came up.
