All virtual, went through two separate interviews. Both were virtual, they also use a recruiting service. The interviews were pretty general and the staff were very kind. The position was virtual with support our of NY, but international travel was required.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked about fundraising background, ability to travel internationally.
I applied online. I interviewed at American Jewish University in Oct 2021
Interview
Nightmare! Was given the shortest phone screen of my life before being pushed to a similarly cursory video interview. I was then invited to a second interview (in person), emailed details of security and parking on campus, then emailed *the night before the interview* that they needed to cancel, as they had offered the position to another candidate. The position was then relisted *twice* in the weeks following.
It is clear that the hiring managers at the Office of Innovation do not care for the time and effort of candidates. Recognize your worth and apply elsewhere.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No real questions were asked beyond my expected salary range (which they wanted before offering their pay range for the role).
I interviewed at American Jewish University (Los Angeles, CA) in July 2021
Interview
My first interview was amazing and she was very nice. My second interview which did not happen I thought it was very unprofessional for such a school. Things happen in life that you can’t control and it would of been nice for her to give me another chance.
