Assistant Vice President Project Management Interview

      13 June 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Virginia Beach, VA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amerigroup (Virginia Beach, VA) in Apr 2011

      Interview

I first had a phone interview with a representative from HR. Then I had a phone interview with the hiring manager the following week. Then the hiring manager had me come onsite from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (took a day's vacation for this). and interview with 8 managers/directors of different departments. Closed interview day with the hiring manager. She said she would make a decision before the end of the week (3 days) on who the final 2 candidates were and then the final 2 choosen would interview with her "boss". Meanwhile the rep from HR called and asked me to take a personality test online. After not hearing anything for a week and 1/2, I emailed the hiring manager and she said they hadnt made a decision yet and they are still reviewing candidates. 2 more weeks went by and I emailed again. My emails were ignored. Called HR and left a message - no return calls. I emailed weekly over a month and then stopped making contact. The online application process status after 2 months still says "interview" and I havent been notified by anyone that I wasnt selected for the position. I think it is really inconsiderate of this company to not return calls or emails and to have someone take an entire day's vacation and not respectfully let a candidate know the results of their efforts.
