I replied to a posting on craigslist with a resume and cover letter.
I was called in for an in person interview. I ended up talking with three peeps. It was basically a guided conversation. I was just asked about previous projects. How they were designed / the architecture / and why. Pretty basic high level stuff.
There was probably some voodoo magic to figure out problem solving skills, software development knowledge, and how I think or something because I wasn't asked to write a single line of code. It was kind of odd since I felt like the interview went well, but it was over before even the most basic weeding code exercise. As if I failed the interview before it started, but the three interviewers still seemed interested. I was just all around confused.
However, I got a job offer about two weeks later. I've often wondered if they got my interview mixed up with someone else's and offered the wrong person the position. Let's just hope that wasn't the case.
