I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amy's Ice Creams (Austin, TX) in July 2016
Interview
The application process is a little bit out there. They give you a white paper bag and tell you to do something creative with it, and though they don't give you any parameters it's a little daunting to think your chances of getting an interview lies with the fact that your paper bag app is probably going to have to be the most creative out of all of them in order to get the interview, regardless of how good of a potential employee you might have been.
Very simple and easy. Was a very relaxed conversation good experience for highschooler. They just ask about what your interests are and get an idea for how comfortable you would feel speaking to customers.
The required first step was to decorate paper bag in order to describe your personality
After that it was a one on one with the manager where she asked me some normal questions
They have their own process (not sure if still relevant) decorate a paper bag to describe yourself. I decorated mine with pictures and such. After that there was a sit down interview where i was asked to get a handling certification etc
