I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Angi (New York, NY) in June 2020
Interview
Extremely positive experience overall; the employees I met with and the interview process itself made me think very highly of Handy's engineering team in general and the outlook of the Foundation Engineering role in particular.
I had an initial phone screening with the Director of Engineering, a brief pair programming session with the CTO (followed by a generous Q&A session), and then a "virtual onsite" (this stage of the interview process is remote at the moment, courtesy of COVID19).
The virtual onsite interview had several segments focusing on technical competence, a lunch break Q&A with employees from different departments, a one hour break to rest, and a few open-ended 1:1 sessions in the afternoon to close out the process.
The offer I received was competitive in terms of base salary, stock incentives, perks, and vacation time.

Question 1
(paraphrased)
Briefly summarize how you deal with technical debt in an expanding codebase.
In particular, describe how you identify technical debt that is (or will become) an imminent problem versus technical debt that can be paid down at a later date.
