I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Anglo-Eastern Ship Management (Calcutta) in June 2016
Interview
The selection process started with a psychometric test followed by a Technical Test.
The psychometric test had around 240 questions and had no time limit. The questions were same for all the candidates applying.
In the technical test there were 100 questions to be completed in 2 hours time. All of them were MCQs. The questions were of relatively higher level as expected by me. It covered all the topics of engineering namely Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, IC Engines, Electrical, etc.
Out of 17 applying, 15 made it to the interviews while the other 2 who failed to reach were rejected on the basis of their failure to clear psychometric test.
The questions asked in the interviews were relatively easy and covered mostly IC Engines and Marine Auxiliaries. Other questions pertaining to family background, interest in this field, etc. were also asked.
I applied online. I interviewed at Anglo-Eastern Ship Management (Mumbai)
Interview
It is similar to a normal interview but in a different field it's moreover a personality test there can be two or three interviewers to judge you on the basis of your performance
