Skype video interview of around 40 minutes. Very businesslike and stiff, no real attempt at selling the job or the city. General questions about experience, confirmation of quals stated on CV, a basic outline of the job duties and school information are given. These can be found online anyway. Various ESL questions and scenarios follow. No space for questions of salary or other matters, such as help with accommodation etc. This cannot be found online.

Interview
The interview involved a chat with the Director of Studies, and then a demo with a real student. I was asked to give a short class on the present perfect and past simple. After a successful demo, I was invited to speak to the director.

Question 1
I was asked about how I felt I could improve as a teacher, and to evaluate the demo I had given in terms of what had gone well and what could better.

Interview
Skype interview with company director. There were strictly questions related to teaching and the job itself. The interview lasted about 30 minutes. The majority, if not all, the questions were ESL related and should not be a problem to a reasonably experienced ESL teacher. No effort whatsoever was made to talk about the company, salary or city and no questions were allowed to be asked. The company has a very poor policy of not emailing unsuccessful candidates (even after a second interview) and does not give the vibe of a great place to work.
