I applied online. I interviewed at Another Broken Egg Cafe (Fairfax, VA) in May 2026
Interview
I applied on Indeed and was texted by an automated system to schedule an interview. When I arrived for my interview, the host told me to fill out a brief application paper. The assistant manager came over, said hi, then asked me how old I was. I answered reflexively. (I am in my thirties.) He then told me they weren’t hiring, but he’d have my information if someone didn’t work out. That was it. No brief questions to know if I was worth asking to come in if someone quit or was let go, no looking at the paper I filled out, didn’t even ask my name. Really uncomfortable. I called later because I thought maybe he didn’t even know I was supposed to be there since the whole interview setup was automated and they aren’t even hiring, and I thought maybe he’d be able to tell anyone else scheduled to not waste their time. He said he knew the listing was still posted. I’m annoyed at the waste of my time, yeah, but mostly I’m really, really put-off by him asking my age straight out of the gate. The other hosts I saw there all seemed well under my age. He looked younger than me as well. It just felt… off and questionable.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Another Broken Egg Cafe (Dayton, OH) in Jan 2025
Interview
I sat down and was asked my availability, basically got the job there.
No communication for 2 weeks after that and when I started there was no training or orientation.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Another Broken Egg Cafe (Roswell, GA) in June 2021
Interview
Very basic. I was asked what my experience was. I was asked about what my goals were and where I wanted to be in five years. Very standard. I was hired on the spot and came back a few days later to begin training
