1. Apply through LinkedIn, Job board or Company website.
2. I was directly given a task without any chat or call with any person.
Very bad experience:
The task was very good, easy to understand but big. It was to build automation framework for a website. It took almost 3-4 days for me to complete the task because lot of things are involved when you build a framework for automation.
I submitted the task well within the time and I wrote a mail stating that I finished the task. I got a reply that they are in receipt of my task and would provide feedback.
The process paused here and when I contacted after consulting with my friends whether it is okay to contact them, I got a strange reply saying that their QA team did not even look into my task and once they look into it, the HR person would provide the feedback to me.
Firstly without even talking to me, they provided me with a task.
Secondly, it was such a big task and it took almost 4 days out of my busy schedule, since I was busy applying for other jobs.
After wasting so much time on the task, my least expectation would be that they would look into my task and give some feedback, if not job.
After waiting for 3 - 4 weeks, I removed accesss to my github. Then, she came back to me saying the QA team lost access to my task. I then gave access and asked them feedback. Till now, I am waiting for their feedback. I got the task in end of Jan 2021.
What can we expect from a company, if their interview process is such.
