I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at AnswerRocket
Interview
Met with the recruiter, which felt like a great conversation. Was told next step would be an interview with the hiring manager but before that I had to complete a test. The test felt irrelevant to the role, either that or the recruiter failed to mention the importance of knowing code for the role. I was not asked if I had these skills during the interview and it was not mentioned on my resume. I failed the test and even though I had several years of relevant experience I was ghosted. Simple code such as what was on the test could have been learned, so it should not be seen as a dealbreaker.
Phone screen with in-house recruiter. The meeting was through video conference but no camera was needed. I did a quick 30 minute chat about the company and explained my experience.
