I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Applied Engineering Inc. in May 2023
Interview
Applied has a 3 step interview process:
1. Initial screening with HR.
2. Technical interview with an engineer.
If you manage to get to step 3, it means Applied Engineering wants to hire you. Applied Engineering is a consulting company and they just need to find a client for you to consult for first.
3. Interview with the potential client. If the client likes you, you are hired. if not, step 3 repeats.

Question 1
"If not proprietary, demonstrate the most complicated Solidworks project/model you've accomplished.
The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Applied Engineering Inc. (Fargo, ND) in Mar 2024
Interview
Was really easy. Started with a 15 minute phone screening and then was a longer interview. Basic questions and some fun ones! The second interview was supposed to be about 2 hours but mine got cut short cause my interviewer had something to attend to.

Question 1
If you could meet anyone, fictional, non fictional, living or dead, who would it be?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Applied Engineering Inc. (Minneapolis, MN) in June 2023
Interview
Initial 30 min phone interview with a recruiter, followed by a 90 min interview with the hiring manager and a director. From application, to the second interview took about 2 weeks, but then was about 2 months until an offer was extended.
I gave them my salary expectations after the recruiter call, but in the final offer, I was given an incredibly low wage that they were almost entirely unwilling to negotiate. Benefits also seemed well below average for the area.
