Who ever did the interview was not organized at all, they don’t like military backgrounds because “people believe they can do X Y Z and get promoted. It doesn’t work like that.”

Why do you have Security+ cert and not an A+ cert?
This person was not offered a position, and we do not have any objections to military backgrounds.
The interview question was to understand the career focus of the applicant (security specialist vs generalist) as this was an IT generalist position. Still, the response was very cynical.
