I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Applied Systems (Belfast, Northern Ireland) in Oct 2019
Interview
Very brief phone call going over experience. 2 weeks later got invited to an in person interview, was asked extremely basic questions and the interview was over in 20 minutes. As far as I'm aware it was a first stage interview, although it didn't feel like it. Was rejected 2 working days later after a follow up email to recruiter.
Was a bit pointless in all honesty, I think for a QA analyst interview you should be asked to demonstrate skills e.g. writing mock test cases or explaining thought process when testing software. Instead I was asked questions about my experience in another company and how they did software testing. No personal questions asked, was informal but questions were read off a page with little deviation. Interviewers were very polite and friendly however and respondant to any questions I had.
No feedback given, a bit disappointing considering the length in took to get the interview in the first place. A bit confused in all honestly what they were looking for, interview was far too short.
The company's previous reviews (Relay Software) leave something to be desired, especially with QA.
