I applied online. I interviewed at Arader Galleries (Napa, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
Friendly at first impression.
Owner seemed very excited to extend this opportunity to me after discussing at length duties, and what was expected of the gallery assistant.
Was given an offer to start working as assistant by the gallery owner after our face-to-face interview, only to have the owner ghost me completely with no follow-up or any concrete communication as to what happened as far as her decision-making process was evolving.
Felt set up for success only to have the same rug pulled out from beneath me within a matter of hours.

Interview
A joke to even call it an “interview.” The owner’s son leered at me the entire time and chose me for my appearance. The owner then said, “Hire her, I guess.” After all, who am I but a mere useless mortal in the presence of omnipotent gallery gods?
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Arader Galleries (New York, NY) in July 2015
Interview
I applied at Internships.com. The next day I received an email asking for an appointment for a phone interview. After the phone interview, I had explored other options then set up a date for a 1:1. I met with the director of the gallery, whom I had spoke with on the phone, and we discussed the daily tasks and other expectations they would have of me. In retrospect, after speaking with other interns, it seems whoever conducts the phone interview is the person you work under, and you become "their" intern or employee.
