Thank you for sharing your feedback and I am sorry to hear you had a negative experience during your recruitment process.
We generally try to stick to the outlined process but being a young and dynamic start-up, sometimes interviewers get pulled into other priorities and instead of cancelling the interview and delaying the process, we might make the decision to have someone else do the first call. We try to move fast and remain flexible in our approach, which means that in some few cases, a candidate may experience a process slightly different from the process initially outlined.
Regarding the rejection email you received, while we would love to be able to offer personalised feedback to all our candidates, we are a small team and our bandwidth does not always allows us to provide detailed feedback. However, we always respond with feedback if a candidate specifically asks after receiving the rejection email, so please feel free to respond to your recruiter asking for feedback.
I understand that you may feel that you have answered all questions correctly, but what a candidate may perceive as a correct answer, may not necessarily be what an interviewer may perceive as a correct answer. In many cases, there are multiple possible answers where some are more relevant in a particular context, for example. So it may not just be about giving a correct answer but also about understanding the context. As mentioned above, please feel free to request feedback for your particular interview via email.
Finally, we appreciate your time and effort in reading up on us and we believe that just because it didn’t work out now, doesn’t mean it might not be a match in the future and so for us any time we invest in talking to candidates is never a waste of time but always a chance to connect with new people and build relationships for the future.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback as it allows us to improve and we wish you all the best.
