I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Arena Pharmaceuticals in June 2020
Interview
Sucked! 5+ months. They ask for a long reference check before anything. AND they don't care about a simple update!
I ignored all feedback here and went ahead expecting a change. However, all the feedback is more than 100% correct. What shocked me was the lack of empathy from the leadership. The conversation seemed like an interrogation. Stay away.

Question 1
Mostly great questions from the cross-functional team and the HM. Behavioural oriented - situational questions and couple of technical.

Interview
Several rounds of interviews and met with over 10 people. Problem is they asked for at least 4 references during the process. It made me think I was going to get an offer, but that was not the case. HUGE waste of time and effort and frankly, it was quite embarrassing. because I had to apologize to my references. Poor candidate care, which may be a precursor to how they treat employees.

Question 1
No coordination amongst interviewers - they asked the same questions over and over.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Arena Pharmaceuticals
Interview
On the plus side the interview process was quick and efficient. I was called within 2 weeks of applying and quickly progressed through phone to onsite in another 2 weeks. The hiring manager was very friendly and polite. After the onsite rounds, the feedback was given promptly which is always appreciated from a candidate point of view. However the only negative point is that they asked for detailed reference checks BEFORE the onsite round. As I was ultimately not selected, it was a waste of my supervisor and peer's time and energy filling reference check info, which now I have to request all over again for other companies I try out for.
