There were two phone screen interviews. The first one was good. The interviewer asked questions about the size of the structure, complexity of some given functions, and one coding exercise about finding the missing number in an array. Two weeks later, there was a second interview, which took 2hr with 2 interviewer, 1hr for each. The experience was bad. There were only trivial and tricky but difficult questions like using C to implement C++ OOP features and allocating the 2d array with just one malloc which will not be used in the real work and study at all. The interviewers were not willing to communicate while I was coding. Overall, the process is too stressful and I did not get an offer.

Pros: Great initial approach – the recruiter thoroughly checked my GitHub profile and projects before the interview, which is very uncommon and shows they do their homework. Cons: A major mismatch between the job description ("Software Engineer C++") and the actual interview reality. The technical stage on CoderPad strictly tests bare-metal C98 skills: raw pointers, manual bitwise operations, and packing bytes into 64-bit integers. If you are accustomed to modern C++ (RAII, templates, safe memory management), this will feel like a massive step backward. Additionally, the time expectations for live low-level bit-shifting were unrealistic, to the point where the interviewer started solving the task themselves.
