I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ) in Sept 2018
Interview
It was a very calm interview. A graduate student asked me questions while the postdoctoral researcher took notes. Was asked general questions about programming languages related to the project, then asked two medium difficulty technical questions to white board out. I only had to explain my reasoning for each questions, not having to write the entire code out.
Vary based on the professors and your major and field of research ... do not have much to say about it honestly. Probably reach out to each professor you want to work with.
