I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Arriva Rail London (London, England) in Apr 2025
Interview
There was a 2 stage interview, the first round was online. This was pretty straightforward and I was asked about 6-8 questions. THe questions were mostly competency based questions and with the line manager and a member of the HR team.
For the 2nd round, I had to prepare a presentation and was interviewed by 4 people, it was meant to be 6-7 people which in my opinion would have been a bit too much.
After the interview, I was told I would find out the same week but over a month late,r I have not had an email to let me know I wasn't successful and no feedback as well, even though I contacted the recruitment person a couple of times. Personally, I think this isn't good enough, considering a lot of time and effort goes into research and preparation of the interview and presentation. Overall it has left me with a negative impression of the organisation.

Question 1
For the 2nd round I was asked to present on how I would implement a behaviours framework across the organisation.

Interview
I had to make a presentation and ask a lot of questions. After that they never contacted me again. I found it disrespectful, they should at least say that I don't continue in the process after all the time they made me invest in their interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Arriva Rail London (Amsterdam) in Feb 2023
Interview
I had a second interview 2 weeks later following the first interview. Both interviews unnecessarily ran over the booked time and the second interview included some of the same questions that were asked in the first interview, very repetitive given that my answers were the same. The interviewer had a very outdated interview style including some of the questions that were asked of me. I never heard anything back and was completely ghosted. If I had been offered the job I would have declined the offer anyway as there were too many red flags in the second interview and the interviewing manager did not sell the job and had a very outdated management style in addition to an outdated interview style. Don’t let this review put you off from applying for other jobs within the Arriva group, I’ve previously experienced working for another Arriva company and I understand how the group operates and I’ve had a positive experience, but Arriva Rail London clearly have some work to do to improve.
